The Universe is Flat   We observe the universe from the top to find that the universe is flat like a disc.    The disc shaped galaxies exhibit the characteristic of flatness best. A disc is flat and exhibits plane geometrical characteristics.   Galaxies exhibit rotational movement on a plane, which is 2 dimensional. Even though the universe is materially (physically) 3 dimensional, it betrays a 2 dimensional geometrical characteristic.   How? Perspective. The 3 dimensional physical universe is a projection from a 2 dimensional geometric figure. The shape or geometrical characteristics are important. There are structural imperatives that underpins the cosmos. It is absolutely ok to try to imagine God because that is how to use one’s imagination. If one were to use one’s intellect to imagine God, then one would use shapes. Image is shape. Reality resides in the realm of ideas. Reality exists because there exist a Supreme Being - God (in the English language) - who is looking for companionship. Humans are not supreme. In the vastness of the universe, we are puny. However, humans have been bestowed with consciousness so as to be able to confront the vastness of the universe. What should be the role of human consciousness? The role that the human consciousness - vocation - must take is to love the patterns the universe displays and take consequences from understanding the structure of these patterns. We can quickly come to the conclusion that the patterns in the universe originate from one source because it portrays the idiosyncrasies of a single source.
